Fort Portal is the only town in Uganda where you can trek chimpanzees in the morning and be watching elephants on the Kazinga Channel by evening. We build trips around that fact.

Permits are the one thing that can't be fixed later — Bwindi gorilla permits in particular sell out months ahead in high season. Ask early, even if the rest of the trip is still vague.
